"As a 28 year-old with 3 years' work experience, I wanted to go back to the classroom to do a Master's degree and improve my chances of a better job. I decided to leave my native Israel to come to the EDHEC Nice campus and do the European Business programme.

Before I made the decision to do a Master's degree I had worked for a year as a Sales Manager for a producer and distributor of silver jewellery.  I also had worked as a Customers' Assistance Supervisor for Microsoft Israel, where I was awarded the title of Most Valuable Employee for 2005. Between these two professional experiences I studied computer science in the College of Management of Israel. I also spent two years doing my military service, and some months traveling around South-east Asia.

What attracted me to EDHEC was the reputation of the school, its ranking among the best Business Schools in Europe and the fact that the courses are taught in English. I was also attracted by the beauty of the landscape around the city of Nice.

I was really motivated to do my Master's degree in Europe and especially in France. I was certainly influenced after my high-school education in a French school in Israel and I also have some family members in France. In addition I decided to go to France because I wanted to improve my French as this can be very useful since Microsoft, my last employer, has a big center in Paris.

I found the programme of the MSc in European Business very interesting because courses such as European Business Environment and European Industries and Strategies, offer me all the academic and professional skills I need for a successful career in the European environment."

The programme seemed relatively easy at the beginning but progressively it has become more and more demanding. We learn the theory in diverse subjects and then we do projects to apply this theory in practice. As I have an international profile I am very happy that I am part of a group of students from all over of the world.  It is a great experience working with all these friendly people, exchanging ideas and having fun.

In the future I plan to work for Microsoft once more. This time I will try to do so in Paris, targeting a position as Technological Environment Manager, in Consulting or in the development of new markets. I definitely believe that EDHEC can help me accomplish this goal."
