Awards

By obtaining the three main international accreditations, EQUIS, AMBA, and AACSB, EDHEC has joined the highly exclusive club of business schools with the prestigious triple crown.  Only 1% of business schools worldwide can boast the same accreditations.  It puts EDHEC Business School on a par, in terms of visibility, with the best business schools around the world.  It attracts students from five continents, enables the school to sign partnership agreements with the most prestigious universities and business schools and motivates highly-qualified visiting faculty to apply to the school.  This international recognition is the tangible reward for EDHEC Business School's ambitious strategy.

     EQUIS  Awarded 1999
The European Quality Improvement System is awarded by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD).  To date, 73 institutions in 26 different countries have been awarded EQUIS accreditation.  In each, the agreement covers all the programme units and courses in the school.  The major standards are: a balance between academic excellence, teaching innovation, close corporate relations and a real international opening.

     AMBA  Awarded 2003
Since 1967, the Association of MBAs (AMBA) has been involved in developing an international standard for MBA programmes.  This includes both full-time programmes such as our Theseus-EDHEC MBA, and part-time courses such as our Executive MBA. The major standards are: the organising institution, the contents and timing of the programmes, the qualifications and experience of the teaching faculty and the background of eligible students.  The degrees themselves are also taken into account both in terms of how they are awarded and in terms of both their new market value and the value they add to the holder's career.

     AACSB  Awarded 2004
Since 1916, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) has brought together management teaching professionals at the highest level. Following a long evaluation process, the accreditation may be awarded to institutions able to demonstrate that their training programmes conform to the association's extremely rigorous standards.

Research

EDHEC Business School is proud of its international renown in the field of research.  Not satisfied simply with transferring knowledge, it actually prides itself  on creating knowledge.  The research carried out by the School's faculty and research teams has given rise to numerous publications, many of which have won awards and have earned company funding and all of which provide quality guidance necessary for use in the industry.

Edhec Business School professors participate in the largest international conferences and are regularly called upon by global companies such as Air France and Auchan for consulting missions.  Awareness of their expertise is quickly spreading throughout the industry and the need for continual interaction between firms and researchers increases the benefits for both parties.  These same professors then share their expertise with students in the classroom.

A prime example of the School's excellence in research shines in The Risk and Asset Management Research Centre which maintains a website devoted to asset management research for the industry: http://www.edhec-risk.com  The related EDHEC Risk Advisory is a consultancy advising institutional investors on risk management issues and offering valuable support services.  It is through this research and via partnership with major banks that this centre of excellence has developed know-how, tools and even related products.
